The Audio Processing---Insert

- Sep 13, 2018-

Insert is a common practice in audio processing. It was previously used to separately process a signal in the console, and an external device is connected through an unbalanced (or balanced) signal to equalize, dynamically or mix the channel the processing of sound effects. Doing this in the early days is a more luxurious use, because it means that one or two channels will occupy an external device, so it is more economical to use auxiliary transmission, and then return to another set of input channels after processing.
