What Is Voice Coil?

- Jul 02, 2018-

The voice coil is a driving element of an electrodynamic loudspeaker. Enameled copper wire or enameled aluminum wire is made on a cardboard tube or cylinder. The enameled wire around the living coil tube is generally two layers, and also has a single layer or four layers. The impedance of the voice coil is usually the impedance of the speaker, and is usually measured at a frequency of 400 Hz or 1000 Hz, 1.2 to 1.5 times the DC resistance of the voice coil.
