What Is Variable Bit Rate (VBR)?

- Aug 09, 2018-

Variable Bit Rate (VBR) is also called dynamic bit rate coding. When using this method, you can choose from the worst sound quality/maximum compression ratio to the best sound quality/lowest compression ratio. At the time of encoding the MP3 file, the program will attempt to maintain the quality of the selected entire file and will encode the bit rate that is appropriate for the different portions of the music file. The main advantage is that the whole song can reach our quality requirements. The disadvantage is that the compressed file size cannot be estimated when encoding.
