What Is Tilt Equalization?

- Jul 24, 2018-

Another typical balance in a mixer is called tilt equalization. This equalization has only one gain/cutoff button for controlling the high or low frequency band. Increasing/cutting high or low frequency bands is to increase or cut off a fixed frequency (typically 10 kHz or 12 kHz in the high band, 80 Hz or 100 Hz in the low band) or all frequencies above or below the band. Tilt equalization is used to increase the brightness or "bottom end point" of a particular track.
