MEMS Microphone refers to a microphone made using Micro Electrical Mechanical System (MEMS) technology, which is also called a microphone chip or a silicon microphone. The pressure-sensitive film of a MEMS microphone is directly etched on a silicon chip by micro-electromechanical technology. The integrated circuit chip is usually integrated into some related circuits such as a preamplifier. The design of most MEMS microphones is a variant of the condenser microphone in the basic principle. Micro-electromechanical microphones often have built-in analog-to-digital converters, which directly output digital signals and become digital microphones to facilitate connection with today's digital circuits. Micro-electromechanical microphones are mainly used in small mobile products such as mobile phones and PDAs.
