What Is Sound Source Directionality Factor (Q)?

When the sound source is in a different position in the room, the sound level is increased by a multiple of the interface reflection. When the speaker is suspended in the air, the directivity factor (Q) is equal to 1; when located on a wall or ground, Q is equal to 2; when located on the intersection of two walls, Q is equal to 4; when located at three corners, Q is equal to 8.
