What Is Slew Rate?

- Jul 09, 2018-

Slew Rate: The response speed of an amplifier is generally defined by the voltage slew rate, which is defined as the voltage rise in 1 microsecond. If measured in a square wave, the time it takes for the voltage to rise from the valley to the peak. The unit is V/us. The larger the value, the better the transient response, the faster the sound is perceived, and the energy is concentrated. The conversion rate of professional power amplifiers can generally be above 40V/u s. Sounds with a slew rate lower than 20V/u s will feel drag and divergence.
