(1) The microphone should be placed where the proportion of the sound source is balanced. When moving the position of the microphone, move left and right to solve the horizontal balance ratio of the sound source, the movement of the height or the pitch, and solve the vertical balance ratio;
(2) The microphone should be placed in the sound field where the ratio of direct sound to reflected sound is appropriate. Since our own studio has done sound absorption, we generally do not consider the problem of natural reverberation, but add it manually during the later mixing.
(3) The distance between the microphone and the sound source must not exceed 17 meters. Once exceeded, a 50 millisecond delay is generated.
(4) The location of the sound source is also important.
We can use two heart-shaped microphones to make XY, or use a stereo microphone for stereo recording of single-point recording. At this point, pay attention to the problem of stereo sound. This requires the sound engineer to consider the above conditions. For example, we recorded a four-person chorus, placing the microphone on the back of the command, while the leftmost and rightmost two correspond to the main axes of the two microphones. Then, during the audition, some adjustments can be made to the height and distance of the microphone to record a good stereo effect.
