What Is RIAA Equalization?

- Jul 26, 2018-

RIAA equalization means that when recording LP compact discs, it has intentionally raised the treble and attenuated the bass. When playing back, it tries to attenuate the treble and raise the bass properly to restore it to the flatness response. Because the bass will occupy more places in the recording sound channel, the RIAA equalization can increase the playback time of the LP compact disc. In addition, due to the reduction of high pitch during playback, the noise on the surface of the record can be reduced.
