What Is Reserve Power?

- Jun 20, 2018-

The reserve power is the portion of power that exceeds the minimum output power of the power amplifier required by the enclosure, or the power above the maximum required sound pressure level. The greater the power reserve of the sound system (usually referred to as the amplifier and speaker), the louder the outgoing sound is, the more full-fledged, the more emboldened, the greater the dynamics; on the contrary, when a powerful, mutated sound effect is reproduced, the sounding industry will be hoarse and exhausted dreary feeling. In general, the power of the power amplifier should exceed 1.5 times the power of the speaker, but sometimes it can reach 3 times the power of the speaker.
