What Is Reflection Refraction and Transmission?

- Jun 19, 2018-

When a sound encounters obstacles such as walls during the propagation process, part of the sound wave will change the direction of propagation back to the original medium at the interface, and another part of the sound waves will enter the new medium with new directions of propagation. And continue to spread forward in new media. This is the reflection and refraction of sound waves. Reflection and refraction of acoustic waves also satisfy the reflection and refraction theorem. Multiple reflections of acoustic waves in the room are the main cause of reverberation.

Acoustic transmission refers to the phenomenon that the acoustic wave propagates through multiple layers of medium and undergoes multiple refractions at the interface, and then reaches the final medium through the middle layers.
