What Is Pulse Code Modulation Recorder?

- Jun 23, 2018-

Pulse Code Modulation Recorder refers to as "PCM" recorder. The signal is sampled and coded at regular intervals, and then the coded pulses are recorded to tape recorders using frequency modulation. When playing the sound, the magnetic signal is first converted into an electric signal, sent to a discriminator, and the pulse coded signal is demodulated and then restored by the decoder to an audio signal. Avoid the parasitic frequency band caused by the mechanical system and the amplitude interference in the transmission, with extremely high electro-acoustic index. It has wide frequency response, large dynamic range, low distortion, high signal-to-noise ratio, no jitter, no crosstalk, and no change in reproduction performance.
