What Is Preamplifier?

- Jul 02, 2018-

The preamplifier is an amplifier that amplifies various weak signals (to drive the power amplifier), and also controls and processes signals, including volume control, tone control, loudness control, balance control, and bandwidth control. Different signal sources have different matching requirements for the preamplifier. For example, the output of dynamic coil and condenser microphones is higher than that of the preamplifier. A low-noise microphone amplifier is required to amplify the signal first, and the line output signal voltage of the recording base changes to about 0.755 volts. Attenuation occurs first, and the signals of some audio equipment require frequency equalization.
