What Is Multi-band Speaker?

- Jun 21, 2018-

The multi-band speaker is a speaker that is composed of two or more speaker units in different frequency ranges and is composed of frequency division methods. This is because: (1) Any speaker of different caliber and material has the best frequency band for its operation, and playing sound at a non-optimal frequency band will cause serious distortion. (2) Bass vibration amplitude is large, and treble vibration amplitude is small. The vibration amplitude is inversely proportional to the square of the frequency. If a diaphragm sounds so that the vibration amplitude deviation is too large, cutting distortion will occur and the sound quality will be destroyed. (3) The same diaphragm emits sounds of different frequencies. If no special treatment is performed, sound interference will occur. In order to enable the speaker to perform a full audio range playback task, a dual-band (two-frequency), three-band (three-frequency), and four-band system is generally used, and each playback unit bears only one band of playback.
