Modulation rate parameter: Sets the speed at which the low frequency oscillator can be modulated. Typical rate ranges are from 0.1 Hz (one cycle every 10 seconds) to 20 Hz. As the most standard chorus effect, usually 2 Hz or lower is used; higher speed is used for some less common effects. In the convolution and chorus effects, modulation causes the pitch of the modulated signal to become more monotonous and returns it to the original sound (pitch is sharper), continually looping.
