What Is Matrix Surround Sound?

- Aug 24, 2018-

A part of the information is taken out from the left (L) and right (R) signals of the original two-channel (main path), and two difference signals (L-R) and (R-L) are formed by the difference operation of the matrix circuit as a surround back playback. For the sound of the singing voice in the program, since the left and right channels are basically equal, the sound image is located in the center of the front, but due to the background noise in the applause and the program, the difference signal is in the rear speaker because the right channel signal appears along with the change. There is an output in it, which produces surround sound, giving the listener a sense of presence similar to that of a performance hall.
