What Is Linearity?

- Jul 27, 2018-

In digital audio, it is used to describe the amplitude accuracy of digital/analog (D/A) converters. For example, input a signal of -90dBFS to the DAC converter and the output may be -88dB. Therefore, the DAC converter has a positive linearity error of 2dB. Therefore, the output level is not fully consistent with the input level.
