What Is Infra-low Frequency?

- Jun 20, 2018-

Infra-low frequency also known as subwoofer, it generally refers to bass with a frequency below 100Hz. The infra-low frequency determines the fullness of the sound, making the bass long, deep, and powerful. This frequency is almost insensitive to the sense of position. Therefore, the position change of the subwoofer in the sound field has little effect on the sound image localization. The range in which the infra-low frequencies are located is the range of instruments such as double bass, bass drum, and organ, making the sound of these instruments perfect. When listening to sub-low frequency components in the audio is not enough, the sound does not sound enough thick, slightly too thin, but when the infra-low frequency is too strong, the sound is muddy.
