What Is Filtering Technology?

Filtering technology is an effective measure to suppress interference, especially in dealing with conducted interference and some radiation interference of EMI signals of switching power supplies. Conducted interference signals on any power line can be represented by differential mode and common mode interference signals. Differential mode interference is transmitted between two wires, which is a symmetrical interference; common mode interference is transmitted between the wire and the ground (the chassis), which is an asymmetrical interference. Under normal circumstances, the differential mode interference amplitude is small, the frequency is low, the interference caused is small, the common mode interference amplitude is large, the frequency is high, and the radiation can be generated by the wire, and the interference caused by the interference is large. Therefore, to weaken conducted interference, the EMI signal is controlled below the limit level specified by the relevant EMC standards.
