What Is Crosstalk and Ringing?

- Oct 29, 2018-

Crosstalk: Crosstalk is the interference of one signal by other signals. The principle of action is electromagnetic field coupling. Mutual inductance and mutual capacitance between signal lines can cause noise on the line. Capacitive coupling induces a coupling current, while inductive coupling induces a coupling voltage.

Ringing: The signal is reflected and superimposed due to the impedance mismatch of the signal line itself, which causes the signal to oscillate.
