What Is Balanced Transmission?

- Jun 23, 2018-

Balanced transmission is that the two cores of a pair of signal transmission lines have the same impedance to ground. When there is common-mode interference, the two terminals of the balanced connection have similar interference values, and the polarities are reversed, so the interference signal is transmitted smoothly. Loads can cancel each other out, so balanced transmission has strong anti-interference ability. In professional audio systems (especially recording systems), balanced transmission is used in large numbers, but in civil audio systems, balanced transmission is often not used in order to reduce costs.
