What Is Audio Quantization Bit?

- Jun 13, 2018-

The quantization bit digitizes the amplitude axis of the analog audio signal, which determines the dynamic range after the analog signal is digitized. Since the computer operates on a byte basis, the general quantization bits are 8 bits and 16 bits. The higher the quantization bit, the greater the dynamic range of the signal, the more likely the digitized audio signal will be closer to the original signal, but the larger the required storage space.
