What Is AES/EBU?

AES/EBU is a real-time stereo digital audio signal format. Transfer between the corresponding devices. This format is an abbreviation of Audio Engineering Society/European Broadcast Union. This digital format was also jointly developed by the two organizations. AES/EBU is output by balanced XLR port, and other aspects are similar to S/PDIF format.
