What Is Advanced Audio Distribution Profile?

- Aug 01, 2018-

The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) describes how stereo quality audio is streamed from a media source to a sink. The configuration file defines the two roles of audio source and sink, typical use of media players such as the "walkman" class. The audio source can be a music player and the audio sink is a wireless headset. A2DP defines protocols and procedures that enable mono or stereo high quality audio content distribution on ACL channels.
