A surround decoder is a circuit or device that converts a surround encoded audio signal into a multi-channel analog audio signal. The Dolby Pro Logic (DPL) decoder outputs four-channel pre-left, right, center, and surround audio signals after inputting two-channel Dolby Surround encoded audio signals. .
