What Is A Multi-bit DAC?

- Jul 27, 2018-

A multi-bit DAC refers to a digital/analog (D/A) converter consisting of a step or a resistor. Each of these resistors is equivalent to one bit of digital audio. Since the resistance of the latter resistor is double that of the previous resistor, the current is reduced by half every time one step is passed. Such a connection method in which the resistance value is multiplied is equivalent to the values of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and analogy of the binary system. Not the same as a 1-bit DAC converter. In a 1-bit DAC converter, the digital audio signal is represented only by a pulse of 1 bit.
