The Range of Human Ear Hearing

- Sep 21, 2018-

Frequency range: The acoustic vibration frequency that the human ear can feel is about 20Hz-20kHz, which is called audible sound; higher than the ultrasonic, lower than the secondary sound.

The range of sound pressure level: the perception of the sound pressure change of the human ear is not proportional to the absolute value of the change, but is proportional to their logarithm. Therefore, it is convenient to use the sound pressure level to represent the sound pressure.

The audible sound of the human ear at different frequencies will be different in the same sound pressure level. The young people usually set the 0 Hz sound pressure level to the hearing threshold of this frequency for the 1000 Hz sound. 120dB is used to locate the pain threshold between 1000Hz sounds.
