The Knowledge of Sampling and Oversampling

- Sep 05, 2018-

Sampling is also called sampling, which is a continuous analog quantity expressed by discrete points. Obviously, the sampling points need to be dense enough to best express the characteristics of the original analog signal. The number of samples per second is called the sampling rate, and the sampling rate of CD is 44.1 KHz, which means that 44,100 samples are taken per second.

Oversampling is a technique used in CD players to improve playback quality. After the data signal on the CD chip is read out, the standard sampling rate of 44.1 kHz is doubled to several times by the interpolation processing of the DSP circuit, which is oversampling.
