The Knowledge of Reserve Power

- Sep 19, 2018-

The reserve power refers to the power portion that exceeds the minimum output power of the power amplifier required by the speaker, or the power that exceeds the power of the required maximum sound pressure level. The greater the power reserve of the sound system (generally referred to as power amplifier and speaker), the thicker and louder the sound is, the more the bottom gas is, and the more dynamic it is. Conversely, when reproducing the powerful and abrupt sound effects, it sounds like screaming and dull. In general, the power of the power amplifier should exceed 1.5 times the power of the speaker, but sometimes it can reach 3 times the power of the speaker.
