1. Regular speaker installation
The conventional speaker system is installed in three ways: wall mounted, concealed and hoisted. The mounted speaker system is directly installed in the auditorium; the concealed refers to the speaker system installed in the flat top or in the frame or wall. The lifting refers to hanging the speaker system with hooks, hanging hooks or hanging baskets. On the ceiling, on the wall, there are two forms of hanging and hanging when lifting.
(1) Surface mounted
The exposed speaker is exposed outside the ceiling or wall of the auditorium. It is suspended, hung or embedded. Its features are:
① The sound is unobstructed and can be directed to the auditorium with little loss of sound energy.
② Installing and adjusting the direction, the sound radiation direction of the speaker can be adjusted intuitively at the scene to ensure a relatively uniform direct sound in all areas of the audience.
③ Should pay full attention to safety.
④ Be careful not to let the speaker affect the overall shape of the hall.
(2) Concealed installation
Concealed speakers refer to the way in which the speakers are concealed. The installation features are:
① The reserved installation opening must be large enough to adjust the direction of the speaker system. The width of the opening will affect the horizontal adjustment. The height and depth will affect the vertical adjustment.
② The speaker system installed in the ceiling has two treatment methods; one is that the speaker is placed in parallel with the ceiling. The speakers are placed directly on the ceiling, and the sound is directed from the ceiling to the corresponding auditorium. This method is usually applied to the venue's sound system, subwoofer system and decentralized background speaker system.
The other is that the speaker is installed in the anti-sound cover of the ceiling to avoid the escape of sound energy in the flat top. The flat top of the reflector should be installed with a large enough area. The exit of the anti-sound cover must also have enough space according to the sound radiation angle of the speaker, so that the sound coverage of the speaker is not affected. The anti-sound mask is made of hardwood and is firmly fixed on the top grid to avoid resonance caused by the operation of the speaker and to destroy the sound quality of the reproduced sound.
③ The mask used in concealing must be sound-permeable, usually with nylon decorative speaker cloth or polyester decorative speaker cloth. It is not advisable to use thick fabrics with poor sound transmission properties. Metal mesh covers are prone to harsh metal resonance sounds that affect sound quality and should be used sparingly or with caution.
④ Sometimes the decorative film is also used in front of the concealed speaker. The width of the decorative grid should be less than 1/10 of the diameter of the speaker cone, and the aperture ratio of the grid should be greater than 75%. The decorative grid is preferably wedge-shaped to facilitate the propagation and diffusion of sound waves.
⑤ Concealed form is conducive to the decoration effect of the entire hall, but if it is not handled well, some of the direct sound energy will be lost, and the installation is troublesome, and adjustment and maintenance are also very inconvenient.
There are two problems to be considered in the lifting of the speakers in the hall: First, the lifting position and the tilting angle directly affect the sound field distribution of the entire hall, the lifting angle and the bunching area of the main sound beam of the speaker; the second is that the fastness of the lifting is directly related to the safety of the hall. Hanging basket lifting form can be adopted. The sound hanging basket should be pre-preformed according to the shape and radiation area of the hall. The speaker system should be installed and fixed according to each corresponding position and then lifted to the hall. The acoustic basket should be equipped with an electric lifting device for installation, adjustment and maintenance.
The main points of lifting the speaker are:
① According to the weight of professional speakers or sound columns, the lifting components and fixing methods are designed to ensure safe and reliable lifting.
② The ceiling hoisting loudspeakers should have four lifting points, and the side wall hoisting should have three lifting points to facilitate the adjustment of the tilting angle.
③ The hoisting of large professional speakers or sound columns requires special production of hangers fixed to the cabinet. It should also be hoisted with a basket screw and a 6-8 mm steel cable. The basket screw can be used to tighten the cable and adjust the tension for the fixing and tilting of the speaker.
2. Background music speaker installation
(1) The speakers of the background music system can be installed in the ceiling of the use occasion. Since the height of the ceiling is different, the installation height of the speakers is also different. The arrangement distance between the speakers is ideal from 3 to 6 m. In some cases, it can also be installed on the wall of the use occasion. The height of the speaker mounted on the wall should be 3~5m, and the interval is 4~7m.
(2) The diameter of the speaker is generally φ165mm, and in some cases φ130mm, or φ200mm. The speaker is a full-band dynamic-type paper cone speaker with a playback frequency of 100 to 10000 Hz (at least 8000 Hz). The speaker can be placed on the ceiling disc and placed in the ceiling. It can also be placed in the sound box and hung on the wall.
(3) Ceiling speaker installation
The installation steps of the ceiling speaker are as follows:
① Cut the ceiling into a circular mounting hole, move the tab on the bracket up, and insert the bracket into the mounting hole.
② Loosen the tab butterfly, move the tab down, tighten the ceiling, and tighten the thumb screw to secure the bracket.
