The Features of the Closed Type Speaker

- Jul 16, 2018-

When the bass is played, the horn diaphragm vibrates greatly. Because the speaker is closed, the air in the cavity is compressed, which produces a damping effect on the diaphragm. Therefore, the amplitude of the vibration of the diaphragm is smaller than that of the open type, and since the sound wave behind the horn is not utilized, it is absorbed and converted into heat by the sound absorbing material. Therefore, the closed speaker's bass produces a lower sound pressure than the open type (the bass is weaker at the same audio current). However, the air of the cavity acts as a spring, so that the diaphragm of the horn is recovered quickly, the bass produced is very elastic, and the bass sound quality is good.
